The Holy Act of Christians

I found this in my draft folder, and today, June 30, 2020, I “Pressed it”!

The Truth:  “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave us.”  Ephesians 4:31-32

Date: December 15, 2013

I was at a hospital, confined, scheduled for operation on the 17th.  I prayed a lot.  I am asking God so many questions. Then I saw our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, to his last earthly breath, asking the Father to forgive us for we know nothing – and Salvation came to those who believes.  God is asking me to forgive.

Will you forgive the one who hurts you?  Will you forgive those who betrayed you?,  those who slandered you?, those who put you to shame?, those who oppressed you?, those who condemned you?, those who do evil against you?   With God’s grace, yes we can.

And I forgave and everything flows into places. I am at Peace! I am released!

Prayers:

Thank you Father for giving me Jesus Christ to be my strength in doing your word. Thank you for humbling me. Thank you for removing all the pains. Thank you for the overflowing love, peace and joy you placed in my heart. Thank you for the freedom from all bitterness and heartaches. Thank you that I am alive. Amen.

The Gospel of John – The Light that no darkness can overcome!

DSC_0457DSC_0421DSC_0401DSC_0460The Truth: “I have seen and testify that this is the Son of God.”   John 1:34

Jesus Christ is the author and perfecter of our Faith. This faith that comes from him enables us to believe what we cannot see and hope for all the things that are yet to come. Because of this faith, we become strong, courageous, and hopeful and patiently wait for the Lord’s promises. Our spirit learned to trust Him. Faith makes us to believe, but testifying means you witnessed it. You have seen it with your own eyes. You have experienced it yourself.

John the Baptist came from God. He was born to testify for Jesus Christ. He knows himself; he’s not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor a prophet. He is the one voice calling into the wilderness, “make straight way for the Lord!” He baptized in water so that Jesus Christ, who will baptize them with the Holy Spirit, maybe revealed to those who would believed and received him as Lord and Savior.

Even him, John the Baptist, do not know who Jesus Christ is, until the time God revealed Him to him. This all happened at Bethany on the other side of Jordan when John was baptizing.

God revealed Jesus Christ to me in the darkest hour of my life. I had cancer. Yes, I do believe in Him. I am his follower, but that day of December 17, 2013, God made me see the light that no darkness can overcome. I have seen the light that no shadows can be formed. I have seen the light that dominates all the lights inside that operating room. I have seen the light that covered the brightness of the Sun. I have seen the light that passes through the walls and its radiance made me feel I am floating. He is so powerful, He can read my mind! His voice is so clear, soft and so comforting. I asked Him’ “Lord, is it now my time?” He answered, “No, I am here to watch over you”. His words warmth my heart, it removed all my fears. And I close my eyes, I am at peace, I am in the Light!

Like John the Baptist, I have seen the light that made his testimony strong and proved that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Praise and Glory to God forever!

Prayers:

My faith comes from Christ.

He gave it to me, He authored it,

Into perfection it shall be.

He sees me, I see Him, because He is always with me.

Praise the Lord, Oh! My soul,

In all my troubles, He delivers me,

In His light forever I shall be.

Amen.

The Gospel of John – The Light that gives life!

The Truth: ” In him was life and the life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”  John 1:4-5

Our Lord Jesus Christ is beyond us!  Before the creation, he was there.  All was made for him.  He was the light that no darkness can overcome.

Cancer crushed my body, but not my spirit.  In my battle with it, my Lord was with me.  He was there before me.  He is the light that delivered me.

Light is faster than sound!  Before the sounds of all the machines attached to my body, before the sounds of cutting of my skin and flesh, before the sound of needles passing through my veins and skins attaching them together, before the doctors set the CCTV Cameras and recorded everything they were doing, before all my senses shut off due to anaesthesia, my God has delivered me.  At a speed of light He has healed me.  Before I repent, before I forgive, before I obey, before I sing and worship him, before I read and meditate on his words, he was there before me.

By faith, I received the promise of healing.  I tasted the fruit of being obedient to God and being loved by Him.  I received His healing mercy.  His faithfulness rebuild my crushed body and renewed my strength: body, mind and spirit.  He strengthened my faith to the nth level.  There’s no more to worry, I have my salvation.  My Lord is before me!

Prayers:

Father Almighty, thank you for loving me.  Thank you for sending Jesus Christ to save me.  Thank you that he is the light who has come into my world to expose the truth, to overcome all darkness and save me from shame.  Thank you that you were there for me.  Thank  you for your faithfulness.  Thank you for preparing me for this battle.  Thank you for giving me your shield and preserving my life because you loved me.

The Journey of a True Disciple

What Now?

After receiving and accepting Jesus’ calling to be one of his disciples, I was moved with his compassion that I brought these children to Christ.

It costs to follow Jesus Christ, but it costs more not to. Seeing myself as one of His committed disciples and the love of God and the joy of knowing Christ made me generous to share all what I have with these children. For years we had a fruitful relationship with God and they received God’s greatest gift – their Salvation through Christ Jesus. Praise Him forevermore!

My Kids Small Group (2007-2010) : Ma. Christina Jane M. Being “Christian”

THE TRUTH:

Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven.  On the day, many will say, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and cast out demons in your name?  And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 5:13-14  But everything exposed by the light became visible, for it is light that make everthing visible.  This is why it is said “wake up, o sleeper rise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.”

Titus 2:11-14For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.  It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Luke 6:45  The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart.

REFLECTIONS:

The Holy Bible speaks the truth!  Our Lord Jesus Christ has spoken, he do not acknowledge those who do not  obey the will of God, our heavenly Father.  If we confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord, then live what we confessed!  Be the light and salt of the Earth.

Everything exposed to the light became visible.  My dear children of God – my brothers and sisters in the Lord, we all became visible to the world because we have the ultimate source of light – our Lord Jesus Chirst!  We are no longer in the dark, for even dark is light to him.  We cannot hide anymore, we are EXPOSED!

Therefore, let us live a life God has called us to live – a life like Christ’s – holy and pure, with so much obedience and righteousness, with dignity, with love and compassion.  And share that life to the world that everybody would see and taste the goodness of our God in us!

Are we willing to be in the center of God’s will – doing the good works He has prepared for us in advance?  Live a holy; godly life?  Be a living sacrifice, pleasing and aromatic to God? Share that life to others, bringing souls to Him, thus bringing Him Glory ’till Eternity?

PRAYERS:

Father Almighty, thank you for your love.  We will always look up on what our Lord Jesus Christ has done on the cross for us and remind us how you deeply loved us.  Help us to live by that love, in accordance with your words everyday, everyminute of our lives, and be a good person who belongs to you.  Help us to love you back – by obeying all Your commands and teachings, because through them, we will be strong in You.  Thank you Father for the Holy Spirit who gives us wisdom and strength to discern what is evil and to do what is good.  Father, make us a good Christian you created us to be through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Testifying for the Lord

THE TRUTH:

“See to it brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the Living God.  But, encourage  one another daily as long as as it is called today, so that none of you maybe hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.  We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.” Hebrews 3:12-14

“For none of us lives for himself alone and none of us dies for himself alone.  If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord.  So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.  For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.”  Romans 14:7-9

REFLECTIONS:

Our testimony of faith as Christian is God’s.  It is one of the good works God has prepared for us to do.  Testifying for the Lord is an action done with honour, courage and humility for others.  It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Once a week, we heard our pastors preached the Gospel from the words of God.  Every week we heard them testify for the Lord.  Every week, we heard the goodness of the Lord.  His love and compassion.  His healing mercy.  His provisions.  Week by week, different testimonies we heard that inspired and encouraged those who listened.

When I was asked to make my testimony, I was hesitant, but also excited.  Though I am afraid too, because as a person, I am not perfect.   Everyday, I repent for I have sinned.  I made wrong decisions in the past.  So I prayed.  I asked God, “do I need to testify?

And God answered me.  “When I called you, and you accepted me; I became your God and you became my people.  Everything of me became yours and everything of you became mine. ”  Yes, everything of me – my mind, heart, body and soul is the Lord’s, so is my testimony.   He is in control over everything.  He is Jesus my Lord, the Lord of Lords, the Lord of all!

So, I delivered my testimony in writing and in words.  I came up in the stage.  I stand in front of many believers and let the spirit flows.  I spoke in my own language – Tagalog because God wanted to reach all Filipinos; the young and the old, the rich and the poor.  He wanted to reveal Himself to them.  He wanted to say that, “I am the Lord who loves you whoever you are.  I am the Lord who is always with you every second of your day.  I am Jesus, your Lord!”

Up in that stage, the Lord gave me courage and humility to proclaim His Glory.  I came up to say that “Jesus is Lord, to God be the Glory.

PRAYERS:

Praise, worship, honour and glory is yours, our Almighty Father, our God, forever!  I am not worthy.  I am a sinner, yet you still loved me.  Thank you for Jesus Christ, your son, our Lord, master and redeemer.  Thank you.  Amen
